Tattoo Tuesday!

New Tattoo!

So twas payday today, and as my darling Belle still hadn't got my 40th birthday present, we decided that a tattoo would be the best idea! After ages on deciding what I wanted and where, I chose my left inner arm for the location and an Epilepsy Ribbon tattoo as the base design.

The reason for an Epilespy Ribbon? My Beloved has epilepsy, frontal and temporal lobe plus added complications, so for me it means an awful lot.

Booked an appointment with Terry (he's great) at One Life in The Enterprise Centre in Eastbourne (cos that is where I live lol) for 2pm today. Terry had my design then redid it a bit. We discussed how I wanted it to look and work began!

Terry doing the outline.

Outline done! Hurrah!

He is such a sweetheart!

 And finished!

Whilst there I also decided to let Steve shove a needle though my nose! So I got my nose done haha

After all that Belle and I decided to go and have coffee and cake at Chambers In Eastbourne, and it was bloody lovely!

So today has been totally FABULOUS!  New ink and a new piercing, well in fact my only one now as I got bored of the others and took them all out lol.

I hope all of you, yes all 3 of you that read my blog also had a fab day!

Much love

Good deed of the day!

Today's good deed.

So, I sent my hubby to the shop for some milk and juice and some cigs (don't judge me, I know it's a nasty habit) and he came home with this:

It was a baby starling. SO DAMN CUTE! A cat was molesting it (another reason to add to my huge list of why to not like cats at all) so my beloved brought it home, as ya do, well as he does. We seem to end up with lots of creatures brought home by him... maybe I should stop sending him to the shop! Of course this totally goes with his leather an cut down, long hair and beard look, a fledgeling on his arm rofl. He's so manly.

After hunting around the internet, asking on twitter and FB about who to phone abut it, I finally discovered it is in fact the RSPCA and not the RSPB that you call about poorly birds. Who knew? I assumed it would be the latter, but no. Anyway, I digress. Got through to the right person, who was brilliant. Within an hour a lovely lady from the RSPCA was at my house to pick Cyril up (I name everything, even the hammer has a name, just don't ask). I would of happily looked after Cyril, I get attached far too fast to things.

After Cyril went, my hubby was having a lookie on the net and found out that starlings are on the red list of endangered birds. So it was a very good deed he did, we did, I'll share in the good deed, I took the pictures and made the calls, that counts doesn't it?

So that was today's good deed!

I have decided I am going to attempt (note the word attempt) to blog more often.

Tomorrow I might blog about the tattoo I am having done in the afternoon, I'll take pictures, I love taking pictures!

Masses of love to all 3 of you that read this <3 xo

Such a fabby Month!

Crikey, where do I start?

Such a good month! First ballet and dinner with daughter, then cinema and a fashion show with my Mumma (who is utterly marvellous).

My birthday pressie arrived from my hubby, which is a gorgeous handmade necklace by Diamonds and Daggers (you can find the website here:   http://www.diamondsanddaggers.com/ )

Yes it is a crystal embedded knuckleduster! I LOVE IT!

I won an amazing gift set on a facebook comp from Purely Aromatic ( you can follow them on FB here: https://www.facebook.com/purelyaromatic ) This is what I won:

It doesn't stop there (gasp) I then win another FB comp today for an underwear set *faints* , no idea which one as I was late in emailling them back (busy busy day today!). So I'll update this when  I know.

More good stuff, I got the job I wanted! I have been doing work experience at a care home, today I got offered a paid job there! Now working in a care home was not something I thought I'd enjoy, so I went along with my bestie to see, and I flipping loved it. I was actually shocked at how much I did enjoy it. So I am totally made up that I now have a job there, pending on crb checks and blah.

Also I have recently "met" some truly great people on twitter. Now twitter is something I never thought I'd get the hang of, at all, ever. Lo and behold I did and have met some fabulous people who I would never of known otherwise :)

Next week is looking rather good too as I'm going to lunch with my daughters and my Mumma for Mothering Sunday and meeting up with  an old school friend on Tuesdaywhich I am really looking forward to!

All of this may not sound that exciting or even interesting to some people, but for me it has been an absolutely fantabulous four weeks!

Massive love to all of you

Disheartened

Feeing a bit sorry for myself at the moment really. I have had no orders since before Christmas now, and as I need the orders to be able to get the rings to make new things with I can't make many more designs up (of which I have a notebook full of). So I am in the age old catch 22 situation of to carry on and hope I sell a few things so I can make new designs or just give up and make the bits for myself when I can afford rings and things.

This isn't a plea for everyone to buy something, just me feeling a bit down and out of sorts about everything, so some nice words of encouragement would be ever so much appreciated.

On a lighter note, I was bored earlier so decided to have a lookie loo on Google for chainmaille jewellery, and DEAR GODS! HOW much do some people charge?? There was a necklace for sale (using aluminium like I do) and they wanted £180 for it, I nearly choked on my hot cross bun! I could make the same one and sell it for £30 whilst making a profit! So I may use some rings up and make one to show you later, just cos I can. Even better it can't be a copywrited design cos it's an ancient one, so who holds the copywrite for it, now I am going to start confusing myself. I'm still shocked at some of the prices, fair enough for sterling silver or gold, but not ally.

Now I am going to drink more coffee and bandage my sons hand up, as he has just been sent home from school with a bashed up hand, again.... When do teen boys grow out of playing the "punch mates arm to give them a dead arm game"?  Answers on the back of a postcard, or in a comment below. Thanks!!

Mucho love xo

Exciting!

Does anyone else cry with sheer happiness? I do, all the time in fact. For my birthday today my Belle got me a ticket to go and see Giselle, I cried. I adore the ballet and haven't been for years and Giselle is one I have never seen and is on my bucket list to see. I will probably sob most of the way through it with sheer happiness at being there, plus it is such a sad love story. So I think make-up will be minimal or I will indeed be sporting the panda look lol.

If you aren't sure on the plot have a lookie here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giselle

We will be going out for dinner then the ballet and then a drink afterwards. My beautiful daughter will enter the realm of being a ballet nut after this, at least I hope she will, cos then I'll have someone to go to the ballet with *much rejoicing*

To say I was a bit overwhelmed by getting at the tickets would be an understatement. I just want to tell my Belle that I love and adore her even more than I normally do :)

Proud Mumma love can never be beaten by anything else, ever.

If you are all ever so unlucky I shall add some pics of us both all dressed up!

Much love to you all xo

How I got a Unicorn!

How I finally got myself a Unicorn!

A cautionary tale of never saying "Name your price" especially not to me!

I am still awaiting Allan to turn up riding my unicorn. I even made supper! If he doesn't turn up soon I shall feed my hubby instead, your loss Allan.

This does however prove that if you don't ask you don't get :)

By the way if you like crime noir books, written by some marvy authors please do check out Blasted Heathens facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/blastedheath and their main website is here http://blastedheath.com/ , sometimes they go a bit insane and give books away!

Happy day!
